Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge
Waking up during dawn will give you the unique pleasure of watching the sun light the sand dunes into life. We will return from our oasis in the desert back to Merzouga for breakfast and to shower. Departing the desert, we’ll travel to the spectacular gorge of Todra, considered one of the most dramatic sights one can come across in all of Morocco. The gorge was carved out by the Todra river, which formed cliff-sided canyons on its final 40 km through the mountains. The final 600m of the gorge are stunning as the canyon narrows to a flat stony track, which is as little as 10m wide in areas with sheer and smooth rock walls. After our visit and taking a break to stretch our legs, we will journey to the Gorge of Dades, where we will spend the night.
